PADI TecRec Tec 40

2 divers in deep water

The PADI TecRec Tec 40 program comprises seven knowledge development sections, four practical application sessions, and four training dives. It's specifically tailored for divers transitioning from recreational to technical diving.

PADI Tec 40 serves as the pivotal point for divers transitioning from recreational diving to technical diving. Whether it follows Tec Basics or marks your initial foray into tec diving, it acts as a vital link between non-stop diving and technical decompression diving. This course allows you to accumulate experience and begin constructing the knowledge and skills necessary to advance your tec diver training. Upon completion, you'll be qualified to conduct limited decompression dives to depths of 40 meters/130 feet, utilizing up to 50 percent oxygen as a decompression gas.

Equipment

Participants will utilize either Air or EANx, with the option to include up to 50 percent enriched air for decompression purposes. For those pursuing the Tec 40 Trimix Diver course, trimix will also be utilized.

Tec 40 Trimix (option)

Interested in exploring the benefits of Trimix gas, such as reduced gas density and decreased narcosis effects? Tec 40 divers can also learn to utilize trimix with oxygen content not less than 21 percent and not more than 35 percent helium. Consult us for additional requirements needed to complete the Tec 40 Trimix option.
